Medicare advantage plans have been an attractive alternative for Medicare beneficiaries looking for a cost-effective solution to the traditional Medicare program and Medigap coverage. But in most areas, these MA plans operate under their own sets of rules and are allowed to establish their own payment policies. On top of that, you can win or lose as an EMS agency depending on whether you are a contracted or non-contracted provider of services for that plan.
